International Standards

When testing digital cameras, it is important that both the test lab and the customer understand the results mentioned in the test report. The most reliable method to ensure this understanding is to use international standards. For this reason, Image Engineering has participated in relevant committees and followed standards wherever possible. Whenever a standard was ineffective or a new one was needed, we tried to optimize it or generate a new one.

The committees we are currently participating in are:

    ISO TC 42 (photography)

Working group 18 digital imaging Joint working group 23 color Joint working group 26 cultural heritage digitization Working group 28 machine vision cameras

    IEC

IEC TC76 Alarm and electronic security systems

    IEEE

IEEE 2020 Automotive System Image QualityP1858 CPIQ: Camera Perceptual IQ

    VCX

    VCX Valued camera experience

The list comprises the most significant international standards and specifications for image quality

Our iQ-Lab designs all testing solutions in alignment with recognised standards and norms wherever applicable. We develop and continuously advance our own proprietary testing methods and equipment, enabling superior camera performance and outstanding image quality across industries.
