TE292, also known as the camSPECS plate, is a different option (as opposed to the full camSPECS device) for fast spectral sensitivity measurements and camera color calibration.
The plate is designed after the front plate of the camSPECS device with all of the interference filters mounted onto one “test chart” for quickly measuring spectral sensitivities using just a single image. Unlike the full camSPECS device, the camSPECS plate is a standalone product that has been developed to be used primarily with the LE7, a uniform iQ-LED illumination device.*
iQ-LED illumination (the camSPECS device uses a halogen light source) can generate custom spectra to replicate numerous light sources in a test lab environment. As with all of our iQ-LED products, the LE7 uses 20 LED-channels to emulate almost any light spectrum for camera characterization and calibration.
There are two separate versions of TE292, the standard version and the XL variation, known respectively as TE292A and TE292B. Both are designed after the front plate of their respective camSPECS devices and include the camSPECS software. An external calibration device is available on request if no LE7 is ordered at the same time.
TE292B VIS-IR
The TE292B VIS-IR is the latest version in the camSPECS plate line. This version has an extended wavelength range from 380 nm to 1050 nm in 10 nm steps and has a total of 68 filters. Please visit the camSPECS product page for more information.
*Please note that the plate cannot be used by itself and requires a broadband uniform illumination device for functionality (e.g., the LE7). The plate and device are sold separately.
