iQ-Trigger to press the shutter release button

    Product Overview

The iQ-Trigger is a mechanical finger that can automatically press the shutter release button within 25 ms. Essentially, it eliminates the human error that often occurs when manually pressing the shutter release button. The iQ-Trigger is a great complement to other devices such as STEVE (image stabilization measurements), LED-Panel (timing measurements), lightSTUDIO (real-scene and moving-target measurements), and other moving test stands.

    Software and remote triggering

The iQ-Trigger includes a USB Interface (USB box), an optimized tripod-mounting plate, standalone control software, and a C++ API. The control software lets you use your iQ-Trigger out of the box. The API offers you the flexibility to integrate iQ-Trigger into your environment. With the USB-Box, you can control iQ-Trigger from your computer or use the included manual remote.

    Key Benefits

    Improved timing measurements

The iQ-Trigger is a mechanical finger that eliminates human error by automatically pressing the shutter release button.

    Touchscreen options

The iQ-Trigger-T is optimized for automatically pressing the shutter release button of touchscreen cameras.

    Software and APIs

The iQ-Trigger comes with control software, and we also offer a C++ API for flexible integration.

    iQ-Trigger-T

For touchscreens, we offer the iQ-Trigger-T. This version uses a stylus tip for vibration-free DUT triggering and can press the shutter release button in under 0.5 ms. The iQ-Trigger-T adheres to clean, smooth surfaces for easy mounting and is designed to work with the iQ-Mobilemount.

    iQ-Trigger add-on

If you already have either the iQ-Trigger or iQ-Trigger-T, you can purchase the other device as a standalone product (i.e., without the USB-Box, control software, and API).

    Use Case

    Eliminate Human Error

Camera testing can be a very delicate process. Ensuring your lab is properly set up requires considering illumination (e.g., avoiding a dark room with stray light), positioning (e.g., ensuring you have enough floor space for your testing requirements), and minimizing human error (e.g., avoiding interference with the test scene whenever possible). Pressing a camera's shutter release button can introduce human error, causing misalignment when you touch it or inaccurate capture intervals. To eliminate these errors, we offer the iQ-Trigger, a mechanical finger that automatically presses a camera's shutter release button via control software and set intervals. We also offer the iQ-Trigger-T for touchscreens.
